4th Grade New Homework Format 2.16-2.20.15
HOMEWORK ROOM 108 Fourth Grade MRS. KELLEY Week of 2/16-2/20/2015
New homework style this week. Be aware that this week is a trial week! If it works out as planned, students that choose the online version will be getting more specific assignments in the following weeks. Students without computer access at home have the option of going to the library, or speaking with me about after school hours at Kipling.
Choose the Right Path for you.
Path 1- Complete Written Homework Mon, Wed, Fri, 50 minutes of IXL(based on your goal from data meeting), and 40 minutes of Compass (based on your goal from data meeting).
MONDAY- p. 323 1-12 TUESDAY- See Technology Requirements **
WEDNESDAY- p. 323 13-21 THURSDAY- See Technology Requirements **
FRIDAY- p. 323 24-32
TECHNOLOGY ** All tech. components should be completed by Saturday, February 21st at 5:00p.m.
Path 2**- All work online. All homework will be audited after 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21st.
1) 60 minutes on IXL- Focus Skills from data meeting. (When we meet for data meetings again, the expectation will be that your specified skills will be in the process of being completed. You should be able to show me what has been completed since our meeting.)
2) 50 minutes on COMPASS- Focus Skills from data meeting. (We will find the percentage of folders completed since our last meeting. That percentage should be close to 5%*) * This may seem like a lot, but you get 60 minutes of Compass in the computer lab and 30 during centers, so you should be able to knock this out.
3)30 minutes in Khan. Working in 4th Grade as well as Mastering at least 1 recommended skill. I should be able to look and see that you are practicing many skills, but at least one should be mastered each week.
** for my Lazy Mazys that look at Path 2 and think it is too much, it winds up being about 28 minutes a night if you add the minutes and divide by 5!
SCIENCE- Students should be prepared for a vocabulary quiz by Wednesday, February 18th and a final test by Friday, February 20th.
Vocabulary- Landform weathering erosion deposition landslide
volcano fault earthquake epicenter
